Our History.
Mandizadza is a legend and according to his descendants and some of the warriors of yester-year, he is said to have owned over 2 000 cattle and vast tracts of land in the Mhondoro-Ngezi area and his many historic feats encompassed stopping tribal enemies from raiding cattle and women.
“Our ancestor prevented the invaders from snatching cattle from his people. He would capture the cattle and return them to the owners and that is why he was nicknamed Rudzivamombe [guardian of cattle],”
Chatambudza said. According to documents which chronicle his history, Mandizadza, who was born into the Musarirambi family, grew up as a fearless youngster.
His prowess and large family gained him favour from his father who gave him a large piece of land known as Chiwi along Munyati river but his land was invaded by Ngezi and the two sides fought ferociously for days until Ngezi surrendered.
Mandizadza decided to engage Ngezi as an emissary and posted him on the other side, ensuring that no enemy would sneak into his territory.
For years to come, Mandizadza fought with enemy warriors and his popularity spread far.
The Mandizadza clan of today are recognised as the heritage and custodian community of the area.

RMN’s primary purpose is to contribute to the funding of the Nation’s socio-economic development initiatives by delivering sustainable income from the assets the Nation has entrusted to it. It exists for the sole purpose of enabling the welfare and wellbeing of the RMN and its primary mandate is to grow and diversify the Nation’s asset base.
RMN‘s business objective is to maximize the returns on its investments to provide the community with benefits that are sustainable.
The Royal Mandizadza Nation is a traditionally governed community that has retained its unique cultural identity and has since developed world-class administrative and corporate institutions to enable the social development of its citizens.
Ultimately, RMN lies at the centre of a holistic attempt to marry the growth and management of capital with the equitable and innovative distribution of resources at the community level.
We are an African community-owned investment company entrusted with growing and protecting the wealth for the (RMN). Our heritage is firmly rooted in the proud history of the Mandizadza people who, through visionary leadership, pragmatism and the ability to make things happen, have remained resilient in the face of challenges to secure the long-term prosperity of Mandizadza (community).
